It’s a Slow Fade

Morgan Nichols speaks about how our enemy, the devil, attempts to convince us that a life of worldliness is better than the promise of salvation in Jesus. Morgan presents two main points: 1) Lambs & Lions – viewing ourselves in a spiritual context, and 2) Atomic Habits – the little things are the big things.

1 Peter 5:8-9 (ESV): Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.

Do You Believe God Enough to Obey?

Bill Nichols asks us to examine our belief in God. Faith requires obedience. When Moses disobeyed God and struck the rock rather than speaking to it (as recorded in Numbers 20), he was reprimanded for not believing or trusting God enough to obey. What kind of faith do we have? Do we believe God enough to obey His Word?

Numbers 20:11-12 (ESV): And Moses lifted up his hand and struck the rock with his staff twice, and water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their livestock. And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not believe in me, to uphold me as holy in the eyes of the people of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land that I have given them.”
