In the book of 2 Chronicles, we read about the temple, or house, Solomon built for God. As beautiful and amazing as that temple was, it was only a shadow of the house God would build for himself, His church. In this lesson, Brother Holloway uses Biblical typology to show that the church of Christ is God’s house. He then describes the greatness of that house by looking at the God of the house, the Builder of the house, and the sacrifices made in the house.
2 Chronicles 2:5-6 (ESV): The house that I am to build will be great, for our God is greater than all gods. But who is able to build him a house, since heaven, even highest heaven, cannot contain him? Who am I to build a house for him, except as a place to make offerings before him?
